MileSplit Ohio would like to congratulate Olivia Howell of Solon High School and Rebecca Craddock of Brunswick High School on their exceptional performances in the D1 1600m race at the recent OHSAA State Track and Field Championship.
Olivia Howell won the event in a stellar time of 4:43.25 and Rebecca Craddock placed 2nd with her impressive result of 4:44.60. Howell's time is an Ohio #1, a U.S. #2 and a Solon High School team record. Craddock's effort represents an Ohio #2, a U.S. #4 and a Brunswick High School team record.
Olivia Howell and Rebecca Craddock benefited from the push that each other provided during the race and they both persevered to obtain the top two placements in what was a very fast overall race. The top five 1600m times in Ohio for the 2017 outdoor season were established in this contest and all five of these results are among the top thirty five times in the country.
