Ohio Future Stars: Davis Hoeflich and Ally Brediger

With the first month of the 2025 OATCCC Indoor Track and Field season concluded, there have already been many big performances that have taken place throughout the state the last few weeks.

Especially with the future stars within the underclassmen set.

For this week's edition of 'Ohio Future Stars,' we took a look at sophomore Davis Hoeflich (Clear Fork 2027) and freshman Ally Brediger (Avon 2028).

Starting with Hoeflich, he currently shares the OH #2 spot in the High Jump with a height of 6-4 with four other athletes, but as the only sophomore in that group. Coming into this indoor season, he had already established himself as one to look out for in at the high jump pit with consistent Top-4 finishes last outdoor season along with a runner-up finish at the OHSAA Division 2 State Championships in the spring. Along with that, he also notched a 7th place finish last winter in the event at the 2024 OATCCC D2/3 & Seated Indoor State Meet.

As it stands now as well, after the newest addition of a fourth division and some realignments coming into this indoor season, he currently leads the list in Division 3.

Despite only being a freshman, Ally Brediger has already had a taste of national level competition with her podium finishes at the 2023 and 2024 edition of the adidas Track Nationals, where she placed fourth in the 200m Dash and fifth in the 60m Dash in 2023 with a 5th place finisher the year after in the 60m Dash. Along with that, she is coming into high school with a strong resume with personal bests of 7.72 in the 60m, 25.17 in the 200m, and 57.75.

Following the first few weeks of this indoor season, she has already shown her range in the sprints, setting new personal bests across the 60m, 200m, and 400m, with notching the OH #5 spot in the 400m and OH #3 spot in the 60m Dash. With this being her first indoor season ever, she will be one to look out for throughout this winter.
