Morgan Gigandet is the 2017 MileSplit Ohio Cross Country Performer of the Year.
Morgan Gigandet can add MileSplit Ohio's 'Performer of the Year' to her long list of accomplishments during the 2017 cross country season. The Troy athlete won our recent poll by collecting 49.93% of the votes (8,011 total).
Gigandet wrapped up her exceptional high school cross country career by winning last month's DI Ohio State Championship and then earning an NXN qualifying spot by finishing 6th at NXR Midwest in Terre Haute. Last weekend in Portland, while competing against the best athletes from throughout the country, she finished 20th at Nike Cross Nationals with her time of 18:09.40.
