Dustin Horter won his second straight DI 1600m State Championship with his time of 4:06.96 and he claimed first place in the 1 Mile event at the Brooks PR Invitational due to his 4:04.68 effort. Horter also collected big wins at the Wayne Invitational (800 / 1:50.73), the Rod Russell Mason Invitational (1 Mile / 4:04.82) and the Eastern Relays (3200 / 8:48.62), among others. The Indiana University signee was awarded Ohio's Track & Field Gatorade Player of the Year.

Abby Steiner won her fourth consecutive 200m State Championship and her third straight 100m State Championship on June 2nd at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus due to her OHSAA record times of 11.38 and 22.73. Steiner was recently named Ohio's Track & Field Gatorade Player of the Year.
