Week In Review: Noah Fisher Wins DIII State Championship

Noah Fisher and Demetrius Snellenberger engaged in one of the tightest individual duels at the State Championship meet, as the junior class athletes were vying for the Division III race win.  They navigated virtually the entire 5K route together, with both making moves and claiming the lead for short periods of time.

In the end, it was Fisher of Ayersville who captured first place honors with his 16:14.40 clocking; East Canton's Snellenberger followed close behind in second due to his 16:19.70 effort.

Fisher vastly improved upon his thirteenth place showing at State's from the year before and his victory marked his seventh straight.  Like many Ohioans, he made the long trek to Terre Haute to compete at NXR Midwest the following day where, undoubtedly on tired legs, he posted a strong time of 16:08.80 to finish fifty-third in the championship contest.
