(Nolan Landis breaks down his series of throws)
Nolan Landis entered the second Red Division meet on Thursday at SPIRE as the heavy favorite to earn the shot put event win and he ended up doing so, emphatically. With a throw of 59-5.25 he won the competition by a considerable margin. But to those who know Landis, it shouldn't come as a surprise that he wasn't entirely satisfied with his performance. The Indiana University commit considers a 'good day' to be when throws 60 feet, at least. Despite just missing that mark, he took some positives away from the experience: more repetitions in live action and an opportunity to compete following a full week of training. His upcoming meets include the TSTCA series in Pennsylvania and the SPIRE Showcase.
