Samantha Bush kicked off her track campaign by establishing a new 1 Mile pr.
Samantha Bush got her 2019 outdoor season off to an outstanding start with a first place finish in the 1 Mile contest at the Adidas Raleigh Relays.
The Turpin athlete clocked 4:52.82 to edge runner-up Carmen Alder of Pinecrest, who posted a 4:53.84 result. The deep field saw five runners net times under 5 minutes.
Bush appears poised to continue her stellar senior year; she placed fourth at the XC State Championship in November and followed that up with a second place showing in the 1600 at the OATCCC Indoor Meet.
