Lucas Houk will look to defend home track against a talented collection of 800m specialists.
The boys 800 contest is so stacked leading in, we couldn't limit it to a pair of favorites. Lucas Houk will aim to capitalize on home track advantage, but he'll have his hands full with the likes of Alex Kenish, Riley Jackson and Andrew Schroff, who are also scheduled to be on the start line.
Kenish and Jackson are stationed inside the state's top 10 rankings at No.'s 4 and 8, respectively and Houk and Schroff will both bring pr's in the 1:56 to 1:58 range with them. Houk went a stellar 1:56.03 at the GWOC Championships last year and the versatile Schroff appears to be hitting his stride, as he established his career best of 1:58.24 during dual meet action last week.
