Hilliard Davidson / 4 x 1 Mile Team

In the first track event of the day, the 4 x 1 Mile team from Hilliard Davidson set the tone for what amounted to be a memorable meet conclusion for the state's overall contingent.

The group consisting of Sophia Hoersten, Ellie Tighe, Sophie Lewis and Lindsay Stull secured a second place finish with their time of 20:36.50. This is a team who's enjoyed a tremendous amount of success together - their accomplishments and contributions to Davidson's distance program is summed up best by Coach King in the Tweet below -

Twinsburg 800 SMR Team

The team from Twinsburg claimed second place in the 800 SMR with their 1:44.03 clocking. The quartet of Alyssa Willis, Mariah Myles, Nya Bussey and Nia Robinson narrowly trailed the event winners from the South Dade Express Track Club (Miami, Florida), who posted a winning time of 1:43.58.

Taylor Ewert / Beavercreek

Following her second consecutive Steeplechase victory and a runner-up performance in the Championship Division with her 4x800 teammates, Taylor Ewert wrapped up an exceptional meet with a second place performance in the 1 Mile contest. The Beavercreek star produced a new personal best time of 4:48.01

Emma Bucher / Centerville

Emma Bucher made sure that second and third place went to Ohioans in the Championship 1 Mile, as she directly followed Ewert in the standings with her 4:49.17 effort.

Only a rising junior, Bucher figures to be a major player on the state and national distance scene for years to come. Along with her All-America distinction at New Balance, she established a new Centerville school record.

Lakota East took runner-up honors in the Championship Division's 4x100 relay with their time of 45.80. The Thunderhawks squad narrowly trailed the first place team, Bulldog Elite (Raleigh, North Carolina), who clocked 45.79.
