Ever wondered what some of the state's fastest XC courses are? Or what some of the toughest ones might happen to be?
We compared boys and girls 5k results at courses throughout Ohio that had a minimum of 1000 total performances between the years 2014 to 2018 to see how things would shake out.
Troy High School's River Course, the National Trail Raceway, Lakota East's Voice of America Park and the lay-out on the campus of Hilliard Darby yielded the best averages on both the men's and women's sides.
On the other hand, Forest Hills Park, Brecksville-Broadview Heights' home course, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Kent State University - Geauga County campus tended to be some of the toughest on athletes who were aspiring to clock fast finishing times.
