Ohioans To Watch At Midsummer Nights Open

Girls 3200

Faith Duncan / Lebanon

If the pre-meet seed marks are any indicator, the 3200 contest could have a great battle up front with Duncan and Illinois native, Katrina Schlenker. Duncan enters with a 10:40.10 and Schlenker is in her immediate rear-view mirror at 10:41.60. For Duncan, who's a rising senior at Lebanon, it'll be the first taste of live action since her D1 Indoor State Meet double back in March, where she claimed 5th and 11th place finishes in the 3200 and 1600 races, respectively.

Girls 1600

Hope Erbach / Waynesville

Erbach enters Tuesday's competition as one of two athletes with seed marks under 5:10 and the only entry with a sub-5:05 on her record. She produced said all-time best (5:04.70) at the '19 Division 1 Region 4 meet. The rising senior from Waynesville finished 11th at the 2019 state meet in the 1600 and holds extensive big meet experience on the indoor and XC circuits, which include trips to the UK InviteFoot Locker MidwestNXR Midwest and the Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships, among others.
