Ohioans To Watch At Midsummer Nights Open

Boys 3200

Eli Fullerton / Belpre

Belpre rising senior, Eli Fullerton will bring big credentials with him into his 3200 competition. The 2019 Division 3 Southeastern District runner-up has saved some of his best efforts for when it counts the most. Fullerton's resume is highlighted by a 6th place finish in the 3200 at last year's Division 3 state meet and a 5th place showing at the '19 D3 XC Championships

Aiden Amshoff / Mason

Amshoff checks-in at No. 3 for pre-meet seeds with a 9:37 flat mark. The soon-to-be junior from Mason has made appearances at the Ohio state cross country and indoor meets over the years. The last time we saw him was during 3200 action at the 2020 OATCCC Championships, where he pocketed a top 15 placing.

Boys 800

Kaden Mendenhall / Ashland

Mendenhall, a recent Ashland High School grad, lined-up at the last two OATCCC Division 1 state meets and owns an all-time best time of 1:56.08 at the 800 distance. His seed mark of 1:57.20 narrowly trails the pre-meet leader, Tanner Stiver (1:55.90). Aside from the open 800, Mendenhall has excelled in the cross country fields and within 4x800 relay competition over the years.
