Crossing the line first was Dylan Christian from Granville, who clocked 2:00.22 to separate himself by 3+ seconds over runner-up Alex Eggleston (Gahanna Lincoln ~ 2:03.86).
Following the conclusion of the Section 2 race, won by Nathan Streby (East Knox) in 2:04.83, Christian was declared the overall event winner.
Christian, last year's 5th place finisher in the 800 at the Division 1 state meet, owns a personal best mark at the half-mile distance of 1:57.72.
