Sophia Spencer had a big day at the new Mount Vernon Energy Fieldhouse, as she took a pair of race victories. The senior from Cloverleaf complemented her relay triumph with the Colts' 4x800 squad earlier in the meet by picking up the 1600 'W' with a 5:33.23 mark.
Spencer carried the momentum she gained during a successful fall cross country campaign into her 2021 debut on the indoor oval. She was the 15th place finisher at the Division 2 state meet back in November, where she set a personal best time of 18:56.40 at the 5k distance.
