The team from MileSplit Ohio is pleased to announce that we'll be conducting a 'Shoe & Spike Drive' at the upcoming OATCCC State Finale meets, scheduled for Friday, March 5th and Saturday, March 6th at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ashtabula County.
We'll be working cooperatively with our friends from the SPIRE Institute, the OATCCC and Second Sole Mentor on this important initiative.
* Athletes & Coaches: Please consider donating a pair of (gently) used running shoes and / or running spikes at our Drop-off Zone, which will be located near the stairs leading up to the media center (beside the pole vault runway).
We sincerely thank the SPIRE Institute for allowing us to collect the items at their facility and the OATCCC for working hand-in-hand with us on this endeavor. Also, a big shout-out to Coach Bill Dennison from the Mentor Cardinals, who will be taking our collected footwear to his nearby Second Sole Mentor running goods store, where they will then be dispersed to athletes in need throughout the Northeast Ohio Region.
