For the second consecutive summer, the coaching staff from Genoa Area High School will be providing athletes with an opportunity to compete.
On Thursday, July 15th the 2nd Annual Genoa Comets Summer Fest is set for a 4:30 start time. Registration is currently open and will remain that way until 11:59 pm on July 13th.
This year the meet will focus strictly on field events, as the track has recently been refurbished. Scheduled events include: pole vault, high jump, long jump, triple jump, discus and shot put all at the high school level for both boys and girls. Additionally, collegiate pole vault competition will take place, as will the shot put and discus for adult master's level competitors.
Look for a full scale track and field meet to return in 2022 with the third annual edition of the series.
