Michael Snopik Leads Mount Gilead To OHSAA Region 11 Title

The team from Mount Gilead left no doubt this past Saturday, as they won Region 11 at Pickerington North by an 83-point spread.

Putting a low 35 point effort together, the squad was led by individual race runner-up Michael Snopik. The senior went 17:11.1 in less than favorable conditions to lead his group to a spot in the state meet field on November 6th at Fortress Obetz. Mount Gilead scored at places 1-2-3-12-17 for a comfortable victory over the second place team from Centerburg, who put together 118 points.

Mount Gilead more than backed up their OATCCC No. 3 ranking and now have an opportunity to test themselves against East Canton, Fort Loramie, along with the rest of the best that Ohio's Division III has to offer.
