Following 4x800m and 800m victories, the Wildcats relay squad and Mason's Brady Messer have collected MileSplit Ohio's Performer of the Week wins.
Hilliard Davidson's work came at Ohio State, where they clocked 9:37.66 to earn the Buckeye Qualifier No. 4 meet title. Their effort was good for a 30-second gap over their nearest competition at the French Field House and it places them on top of the state's overall rankings leaderboard. They overtake the previous No. 1 Mentor (9:42.58) by almost 5-seconds.
Nationally speaking Hilliard Davidson finds themselves inside the top 30, No. 27 as of this article's publishing, but more importantly they're firing on all cylinders as the OATCCC state meet approaches.
Brady Messer has raced sparingly, however very effectively thus far during the 2022 indoor campaign. In two race starts, he's collected victories in both. Most recently he produced a 1:57.41 mark to earn the Eastern Indoors (KY) 800m triumph. This follows his season opener from Wittenberg, where he took on the same event and went 2:00.01.
Messer's seasons best time stations him as the fifth rated athlete state-wide when merging performances from all divisions.
