(Finishing straight-a-way at Champions Park Race Course)
The 2022 MileSplit Ohio Finish No Timing XC Invitational is fast approaching.
On Tuesday, August 23rd, we'll be at Champions Park Course in Springfield to feature middle school and high school competition with 2000 meter and 3200 meter races.
The meet will not be timed in the traditional sense. Instead of a typical running clock where all participants are issued a final mark, our timing system will begin when the first runner crosses the finish line. Each individual that follows will receive a time of how far back they came in after the race winner. Additionally, we'll be recognizing the athletes from each of the evening's four races who makes the most passes over the final 1000 meters with special post-meet awards.
The purpose of our unique format is to encourage athletes to focus on the art of racing rather than be resigned to hitting pre-determined splits or finishing at a certain overall time.
Vote below on the margin of victory in the meet's various races for a chance to win a free MileSplit subscription. Voting runs through Sunday, August 21st at 9:00 pm EDT.
