Tasks And Timelines In Lead-Up To OATCCC State Championships

The 2023 Ohio Association of Track & Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC) Indoor State Meet is just a few weeks away. The Division 2/3 meet will be on Friday, March 3rd and the Division 1 meet will be on Saturday, March 4th at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Each year the divisions switch the days of competition. The field event competition starts at 12 noon each day and the running events start at 2:00 pm.

Here is what every high school coach and athlete needs to know:

  • Online verification forms are due Wednesday, February 15th. These only can be completed by a school's athletic director. The link was sent to every athletic director of an OHSAA member school several times since December 1st.

  • The final day of competition to get a qualifying performance is Sunday, February 19th.

  • Only performances earned by an athlete entered in a qualifying meet when they are entered as a member of their high school team count. Any performance made as an unattached athlete or member of a club team does not count and cannot be retroactively changed to their high school team's affiliation.

  • The final top 40 performance lists will be posted on OHMileSplit on Wednesday, February 22nd by 12 noon. Only performances associated with verified teams will show on the lists. 

  • Coaches have from Wednesday, February 22nd at 12 noon until Friday, February 24th at 11:59pm to declare their athletes to compete in the State Meet.

  • Final acceptance lists will be posted on OHMileSplit on Sunday, February 26th at 6:00pm.
