MileSplit Predicts Team, Individual State Meet Champions

What started out several years ago as just a fun idea has evolved into an annual staple for our (pre) state meet content offering. 

It's Monday of state meet week, we all can't wait for the gun to sound on Saturday morning, so what better way to pass the time than by putting our prognosticating skills to the test and serve up our latest round of OHSAA State Cross Country Championships team and individual winners predictions. 

A few notes, however, before you explore our prediction table below. 

• While many of us reference the rankings, the ratings, the XC team scores feature and the coaches poll throughout the fall, none of that matters on race day.
• No MileSplit Ohio staff member has ever run the table (going 12-for-12) in our annual exercise, although OldSchoolTrack came close one year. Could this be the year? 
• Christian Lisle, Shawn Conlon, Phil Grove, David Nguyen and Mark Dwyer are veterans of the prediction contest. Chris Greene and Kathleen Dwyer make their highly anticipated debuts this year. 

A final editor's qualifier: Our prediction contest is simply meant to be fun. None of us are hoping for someone to win, not hoping for someone else to win, don't believe in a certain team, etc.

None of the above. We are just a group who follow the sport closely and discuss the latest Ohio high school XC news on a daily basis.

We're as excited as anyone for Saturday's races, we wish everyone safe travels to Obetz and we hope that every team and individual performs to the best of their abilities and we can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
