For this week's edition of Ohio Future Stars, we looked at a standout performance from the middle school race at the Boardman Spartan XC Invite.
Anderson Scott has been having quite the season so far. Coming into this cross-country season, Scott has already notched a few solid personal bests under his best from this past spring and the previous cross-country season; most notably his 800m (2:06.01) and 1600m (4:35.19) from last May.
So far, Scott has recorded three races this fall (2 Mile/3200m), all of which he finished first while setting a new personal best in the process.
8/24 - Riverside Kickoff Classic NIGHT Invitational - 10:12.77 PR
9/7 - Wooster XC Invitational - 10:21.20
9/14 - Boardman Spartan XC Invitational - 10:44.2
As of now, he is currently the state leader and one of the best in the country for middle-schoolers. With the middle school championships set to take place in a month in Dublin, we could see him improve upon his runner-up finish from last year and take home the title this year.
