OHSAA State Championships: Performer of The Week


With the OHSAA Cross-Country State Championships concluded, there were a ton of highlight performances that took place throughout the day on Saturday, from both an individual and team standpoint.

Boys

Luke Snyder (Rittman 2026) - Division 3 Champion - Division 3 championship record (14:58.13), defending champion.

Fairfield Union - Division 2 Team Champions - First time ever setting foot on the podium as a team

Landon Kimmel (Tippecanoe 2026) - Division 1 Champion - State meet record of 14:33.81

Zachary Rahm (Versailles 2026) - Biggest Improvement from 2023 vs. 2024 championships (18:58.90 -> 16:16.71)

Nathaniel Gockerman (Cin. CHCA 2027) - Big placement improvement for the podium, second fastest underclassman (15:29.98)

Brice Fuller (Fairless 2028) - Top underclassman (15:23.18)


Girls:

Caroline Hamilton (Legacy Christian 2025) - Division 3 Champion - Improved from her 26th place finish at last year's state meet.

Sophia Szolosi (Athens 2026) - Division 2 Champion - New personal best of 17:39.61 and won by almost half a minute

Daniela Scheffler (Uniont. Lake 2025) - Division 1 Champion - Division 1 championship record (17:01.28)

Lancaster - Division 1 Team Champions - First time ever setting foot on the podium as a team

Minster - Division 3 Team Champions - 17th team title, fourth title in a row
