Cedric Jaggers, Cooper River Bridge Run historian, longtime runner and contributor to Running Journal talks about the Bridge Run, his book about the race, and his involvement in the sport. Jagger collects road races weekly throughout the state. Jaggers has run ever Bridge Run, except the first one.

Burcham: 4:13.69 1600m and 1:57.47 800m

Photo courtesy of Sholten Singer/The Herald-Dispatch   Cabell Midland's Jacob Burcham has served notice that his freshman year was no fluke when he posted the fastest 1600m time of his career at the Carlos Akers Memorial Invitational with a first place time of 4:13.69. At the time of this article Burcham's time was the 10th fastest in the U.S. this year. The sophomore running on his home track in Ona, WV also won the 800m run in 1:57.47. Last year Burcham was the fastest freshman in the nation and came close to setting the national records for freshmen in the mile wilth a 4:15.10 at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals.

Isaac Presson of the University of North Carolina men's track and field team is the Tar Heel Performer of the Week for March 28-April 3, 2010. Presson turned in a pair of magnficient performances while competed in the 67th Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Four University of Louisville track and field athletes registered career-best marks on the final day of competition at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla., at Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium on Saturday evening.

Wildcats Close Out Day Two of Florida Relays

The University of Kentucky track and field team closed out day two of the 67th Florida Relays, claiming top-10 finishes in three of its relay events, Saturday in Gainesville, Fla.

Florida Relays: Chiles Girls Shine, Northwestern/St. Thomas 4x400 is Legendary

Marvin Bracy and Octavious Freeman wracked up national leading times of 10.26 and 11.28. Armando Del Valle staked his claim as Florida's top distance runner with his 4:11 1600m victory.  Lily Williams gave Kacy Smith a taste of her own medicine, outkicking her to win the 1600 with both in 4:52. Williams comes back with her Chiles team the next day to set a state record 4x1600. Miami Northwestern and St. Thomas Aquinas battled it out to a national leading 4x400 that was decided by .002. Boyd Anderson girls set the track on fire.  So so much more!

Webb Shatters School, Meet Record on Opening Day of Florida Relays

Senior middle-distance runner Sharif Webb won the 800m run for the second-consecutive year while setting Kentucky's 800m record and snapping a 25-year old Florida Relays record, as the Kentucky track and field team earned two wins and four top-four finishes on opening day at the Percy Beard Track in Gainesville, Fla.
