-Tell us how your summer training is going?

Its going great! I've done a lot of running and have also done a lot of triathlon training because I am competeing in a lot of triathlons this summer. I have seen how that training has helped my running so much!

-What are your goals for the upcoming season?

Run in the low 18s and be in the top 10 in state!

-How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I've been racing since I was 4 years old! My mom ran for Purdue in college and has been a runner her whole life, so I started running because it was in my blood.

-Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

I would like to compete at foot locker and NXN this year

-What is your favorite course to run in Ohio?

The John Bryan State Park course that Yellow Springs used to use for their home course! I always feel amazing at that course and run unleashed!

-What is the toughest course to run in Ohio?

The Middletown course! Not beacuse it has challenging hills or anything like that. Just because the terain is horrible and runners have to run slow so they dont hurt themselves and take out the rest of their season.

-What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

Definately starting at conference meet because this meet matters the most besides the tournament meets.

-What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

My sophomore race at state! I had had a great season and was seeded very high in the race even though I wasnt completely sure I could place as high as everyone thought I could! I lead the race for the first mile and then placed 6th over all! After finishing that race I felt amazing! God really blessed me that day!

-Favorite cross country memory?

My favorite memory in cross country is a bunch of little moments tied together! Its my head coaches confidence in me before a race, its how my mom is with me every second before my races, its hearing my families voices cheering for me during a race, its finishing a hard practice and waking up the next morning sore, its the prayer before a meet leaning on God and knowing that He is the only one that can give us the power to preform today, its after a long season of hard training.....standing on the podium and recieving your state medal! Its cross country.....its a memory in itself!

-When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

Swim and bike workouts with my dad!

-Favorite quote?

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16.  Or "for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harn you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and oray to me, and I will listen to you" Jeremiah 29:11-12.

-What's on your Ipod when you go out for runs?

I shuffle through a playlist of Christian songs! God is the one who gives me the ability to run so im going to praise Him during it!

-What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

Allison Felix! She is an amazing runner and runs for God. I would love to leave a legacy like she is for God!
