Highlighting the weekend... On Saturday, PA shot putters ventured to Ohio for another meet, and came away with wins in both the girls and boys competitions at the AKRON LAST CHANCE RUBBER CITY OPEN. North Allegheny's Jade Hambrick and Garrett Larkin were the victors. Sean Gil, North Allegheny, took 2nd in the pole vault, and Pine-Richland's Zach Meverden was 3rd. North Allegheny's Kristen Zeleznik took 3rd in the girls pole vault. In day one of the KENT STATE HS OPEN #3, Wunmi Fapohunda of Gateway, won long jump. Cedar Cliff's Kassie Meholick was 2nd in the 3200. Central Cambria's Carly Seymour ran 3rd in the mile. Da'Lynn Mills of Seneca Valley was 2nd in the 200 and 5th in the 55 dash. On Sunday, Weston Schaa of Mercer won the high jump. Pole vaulters Andrew Campolongo and Jared George were 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
