Finishtiming Team Championships South Round 1 2023

This is an Invitation meet series only (No Individual Entries). Many teams will be invited to the meet by the team place at their outdoor district meets from 2022. We will select 16 teams that confirm they are interested in participating

This is a "True Team Championship".

Each team will be allowed to enter 3 athletes per event. (48 total athletes in each event and 16 relay teams) We will score all 48 athletes with 48 for first and 1 for last. Relays will score 16 for first and 1 for last. Top 8 teams for each gender from the 2 qualifying meets (January 14^th North teams at Akron and January 15^th South teams at Wittenberg) will move on to the championship meet in February at Ashland University February 5th. Athletes do not qualify to the championship the team does, so a team can have different athletes in the events from qualifying to Finals (Even if you do not have 3 entered in the prelim meet you are allowed to enter 3 in the championship meet).  This is different from standard hs meets in that it is team based for qualifying and not the individuals.

Team Cost: $400 per gender ($800 per team) (Checks payable to Wittenberg Track and Field)

Spectator Admission $5 per person

60m Hurdles 6 heats of 8 (Finals only)

60m Dash 6 heats of 8 (Finals Only)

1600m Run 2 heats of 24

4x100m Relay 3 heats 5-5-6

400m Dash 8 heats of 6

800m Run 3 heats of 16

200m Dash 8 heats of 6

3200m Run 2 heats of 24

High Jump Girls first then Boys

Polevualt Boys first then Girls

Longjump 2 pits (4 jumps no finals)

Triplejump 2 pits to follow Longjump (4 jumps no finals)

Shotput Boys first then Girls (4 throws no finals)

Weight Throw Girls first then Boys (4 throws no finals)
