Fairless Twilight Invitational 2024

Dear Coach,

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with information regarding the Fairless Falcon Twilight that will be held on Friday, May 3.  The coaches meeting will be held at 3:45pm in the auxiliary gym. Field events and the 4x800 will begin at 4:30pm. All other running finals will begin with the high hurdles at 5:30pm.

We will be using Milesplit for entries.  The window for entries is currently open and will close at noon on Wednesday, May 1.  Scratches will be done via the Google form link sent in the coaches information and on milesplit.

We will have 8 teams competing in this years Fairless Twilight Invitational.

Field event Info:

Starting Heights for High Jump and Pole Vault will be based off of the entries that are received.

   -High Jump is boys first, Pole Vault is girls first

Long Jump 

3 jumps followed by finals (top 9)

    -Boys open pit 4:30-5:30, finals at 5:45

    -Girls open pit 6:30-7:30, finals at 7:45

Shot and Discus

3 throws followed by finals (top 9)

   -Shot Put is boys first, Discus is girls first

Awards

At the conclusion of the meet we will present awards.  The 1st place teams will receive a trophy.  Medals will be awarded to the 1st through 3rd place finishers. Ribbons will be awarded to the 4th through 8th place finishers.

Notes of importance
  • Only 1/8 or 1/4 pyramid spikes may be worn on the all-weather surface.

  • No tape allowed on the all-weather surface, chalk may be used to mark steps.

  • A concession stand will be available throughout the meet.

  • There will be a weigh in for implements used in the Shot Put and Discus located at the throwing area.

  • We will be using a Finish Lynx timing system (FAT) with a finish line scoreboard.

  • We request that tents be set up outside the stadium near the shot put and discus area.

  • We will have food in the high school auxiliary gym for the coaches meeting.

  • Please remind your athletes to stay off of the football field.

  • Seated athletes will compete immediately after the final heat of the corresponding event or in an open lane in the same event depending on the number of athletes and open lanes.

** We are currently having stadium construction and hope to have the home bleachers finished by the time of the meet. If not all fans will use the visitor bleachers.
