Entries:

Teams may enter two athletes in each field event and two in each running event, and one team in each relay event. Entry is online at https://oh.milesplit.com/meets/617024-2024-nwc-championship-meet-2024/info

Entries are due Thursday May 9 prior to 7:00pm. Entries with no marks will be placed in slow lanes/heats. Events and entry spots left blank cannot be added or filled on the day of the meet.

Entry Fee:

$200 per school (includes boys & girls teams)

Coaches Meeting:

9:00 AM on Saturday May 11 at the finish line. Coaches turn in verification form, and coach packets will be distributed at the coaches meeting. Weigh-ins will also take place at 9:00 near the finish line.

Parking:

Buses will drop off athletes at the Bentley Road entrance to the stadium and drive to the west parking lot to park. Buses need to drive to the very back of the parking lot to park. 255 N. Bentley Road, Bluffton OH will bring the GPS to the West Parking lot.

Spectators may park in the West lot as well as the North Lot. There is to be NO parking along Bentley or Augsburger road.

Officials and Meet personnel may park in the lot off Augsburger road.

Field Events:

Shot Put and Discus

Weigh-ins will be on the football field near the finish line, 9:00 AM. All implements become common implements after weigh-in. Two flights, three throws in prelims, top 9 return for three throws in finals.

Long Jump:

Two flights, three jumps in prelims, top 9 return for three jumps in finals.

High Jump and Pole Vault:

Starting heights to be determined by coaches on the games committee.

At 9:30:

It will be Girls Discus, High Jump, and Pole Vault along with Boys Shot Put and Long Jump. The opposite event will start as soon as possible after the conclusion of the previous.

Volunteer Positions:

Each school will provide volunteers for each of the following:

Shot Put: Columbus Grove             Discus: Delphos Jefferson

Pole Vault: Bluffton                        Long Jump: Bluffton

High Jump: Leipsic

Relay Exchange Zones:

    Allen East, Crestview, & Lincolnview

Note: There will be a licensed official assigned to each field event.

Athletic Trainer:

Kris Laise, is a certified Athletic Trainer from Mercy Health will be available at the finish line.

Team Camps:

In the grass areas near the entrance. See map below. No team camps on the soccer field, football field, or near the Shot & Discus area.

Running Events:

All Running Events are Finals. Timing & Scoring will be conducted by Larry Stemmler, lstemmler@eacs.k12.in.us.

Bullpen:

All runners are to report to the clerks Nick Roth (Boys) & Peter Kesler (Girls) in the bullpen

(located at the starting area for the 100 M Dash, except for the 200 M Dash and 300 M Hurdles

runners who are to report near their starting lines.

Scoring and Awards:

8 places, 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 pts. Medals for places 1-3 and ribbons for 4-6. Trophies for 1st and

2nd place teams. Athletes of the Year and Coaches of the Year to be voted on after the meet.

There will be no podium or awards presentations; medals and ribbons will be distributed when the meet concludes.

Results:

Larry Stemmler will provide live results, we will also post paper copies of the results under the stadium, and will provide complete meet results following the meet on May 11.

Infield (Football Field):

Please be advised that only athletes warming up/cooling down, and coaches will be allowed

on the turf field. Also, please ask your athletes to keep the field clean. We will have trash cans

available. No team camps are permitted on the turf field. All team camps should be in the

designated area.

General information:

All OHSAA rules will be followed. The track has 8 lanes, 42 wide; the track and runways are polyurethane all-weather surface. Spikes: 18 inch length pyramid worn on the track and

runways. Do not wear spikes in the stands. Markers: for Relays use tennis balls or flat washers;

Long Jump and Pole Vault - use tape on the cement or markers in the grass; High Jump -May

use chalk, no tape. Pole Vaulters Cert. Form to be filled out by the coach and turned in by the

vaulter before warming up. Relay Cards: are to be filled out by the coach listing the runners in

order and any alternates that could be used if needed, and turned in by the team when they

report to the clerk. Standard Starting Blocks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own

well-marked blocks. Concession Stand will be open serving food and beverages. Restrooms are

located on the sides of the home stands, and Port-a-Johns will be available in the team camp

area. Hospitality Room will be located in the press box for coaches and officials, enter through the north entrance of the press box. T-shirts will be for sale online,
