Mapleton XC Fall Classic 2024

Ashland, OH

Meet Information

Thank you for being a part of the Mapleton Cross Country Fall Classic! We are excited to host an event that is enjoyable for runners and spectators alike. Our course has traditionally been a fast and a fun course for athletes to run. It is a course that features a spectator friendly stadium finish but also winds through the woods and fields around the Mapleton School grounds for a true cross country feel. On race day our course will be clearly marked and ready for racing. We are excited to have many volunteers stepping up to help our meet run smoothly! We are also excited to have Mid Ohio Race Management at our meet to handle all the timing and results with their chip timing services. We hope that you will stick around to celebrate all our top individuals and teams at our awards presentation after racing has concluded. We hope you will also join us in taking a moment to honor our senior XC members at conclusion of the meet as well.

Attached are course maps for both the middle school (3200 m) and High School (5k) races. We have also attached another map that lists points of interest including: bus and spectator parking, team camps, restrooms, and packet pick-up. This year we will not split runners into divisions nor have an open race. There will be one race each for: HS Boys, HS Girls, MS Boys, and MS Girls. There is no limit to the amount of entries a team can have in a race.

We are looking forward to a great day of racing! We also are excited to offer up some unique perks for those that are racing with us. We know finishers will enjoy chocolate milk donated by Dairymans, Brian Funk, Falling Star Farm, and the Meyer family. Our cross country parents group will also be awarding donuts for top teams and individuals. Our awards ceremony for top 3 teams and top 14 individuals is always a big hit as well. We truly want this to be great race experience for your athletes! Please feel free to provide any feedback after the meet so that we can continue to improve our meet in the future!
