Tippecanoe Relays

Order of Events

Field Events (allowed to enter up to 3 athletes per event per team)

9:00 Warm up for Field Events may begin.

9:45 AM All field competition begins.

**Mens Shot Put 4 Puts. 1 measured legal throw, then 40 + measured.
Mens Long Jump 4 Jumps. 1 measured jump, then 16 + measured
Womens Long Jump 4 Jumps. 1 measured jump, then 14 + measured
(Open Pit 60 minutes beginning at 10:00. Time will be extended as needed)
**Womens Discus 4 Throws. 1 measured throw, then 80 + measured.
Womens High Jump. Starting at 4, going up 3 to next foot, then up 2
Mens High Jump. Starting at 5, going up 3 to next foot, then up 2
Womens Pole Vault. Starting at 7 and going up 6
Mens Pole Vault. Starting at 8 and going up 6

Upon completion of the above events:

**Mens Discus 4 Throws 1 measured legal throw, then 100 + measured (Flight 2 on warm up at outer circle)
**Womens Shot 4 Puts 1 measured legal throw, then 30 + measured (Flight 2 on warm up at lower circle)

**We have two disc and shot circles. Warm-ups will be at the non-competition circles after flight 1. Subsequence flights should be ready when there flights are called to compete. Also, Pole Vault and High Jump for men and women will be competed at the same time.

The above field measured distances and opening heights may be adjusted due to entry marks.

Have field event athletes report to track event on 2nd call.

Running Events begin at 10:30 AM

Order of Events Women then Men

1. 4x1600 Meter Relay

2. 4x200 Meter Relay

3. 4x800 Meter Relay

4. Mixed Medley Relay = 200-200-400-800

5. Middle Medley Relay = 800-400-400-800

6. 4x100 Meter Relay

7. Shuttle Hurdle Relay = Women 100m/Men 110m both at 30

8. Sprint Medley Relay = 100-100-200-400

9. Distance Medley = 1200-400-800-1600

10. 4x400 Meter Relay

*Best 8 times will be scored. 1/4 cone spikes please. Bring your own baton.

Welcome to a new track and field season. Tippecanoe is pleased again this year to kick-off the season with this Relay and we are glad your school and teams have chosen to attend. May this be a great experience for you, your athletes, and a good lead-in for the 2011 season.

Essential Information

1. Entry Fee: $160.00 ($80.00 per team. If numbers are real low, call me)
2. Gate Admission: Adults $6.00 Students $4.00
3. Coaches Meeting: 9:00 AM.
4. Maximum of three (3) in field events. However, if you only have one you may do so.
5. Lane assignments determined by Finish Timing.
6. Medals will be awarded for first and second place and ribbons for 3rd - 8th.
* Trophies will be 1st and 2nd for men and womens teams and a Best Combined Score.

7. Concession will be available.
8. Please provide your own Baton.
9. Remember Roster, Verification and Jewelry Rules.
10. No loud music in stadium. Also, no dogs, football, soccer balls, etc. please.
11. Park buses in the lots behind Tippecanoe Middle School.
12. Make camps on the east side of the track complex.
13. Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Directions to Samaritan North/UVMC Athletic Complex
Address is 555 N. Hyatt St.

From I-75 take Exit 68 and turn east towards town (left if coming from the north and right if coming from the south). After turning onto Main St. (St. Rt. 571), go to the third (3rd) stop light and turn left (for a landmark Dairy Queen is on the left side at this turn). After turning, go to next stoplight and go straight through it. Go to the second driveway and turn left into Tippecanoe Middle Schools driveway. Buses are to park in the lot between the schools or at the curb of the bus turnaround driveway at L.T. Ball Intermediate School. The track is at the northwest corner of this complex.

When relays are over, please clean up your area.
