Independent Athletes (Non-YMCA Team Members)
Athletes who are not currently affiliated with a participating YMCA team are welcome to
compete in the 419 Flyers Invitational Track Meet.
Registration Fee:
$5 for up to 2 events
$10 for 34 events (maximum of 4 events allowed)
This fee helps cover meet operation costs including equipment, facility rental, and
timing services. Payment will be collected at the registration table on the day of the
meet
How to Register:
Coaches will email Christian Langston at sports@ashlandy.org with the athletes name,
age, gender, and chosen events no later than Wednesday, June 25th at 11:59 PM.
Parents who have an unattached athlete will need to submit information over by email.
Spectator Admission
To help cover the cost of facility rental and event operations, there will be a $5
admission fee for all spectators age 19 and older.
Children 18 and under will be admitted free.
This small fee allows us to continue offering a high-quality, family-friendly event while
keeping registration free for all participating athletes. We appreciate your support and
understanding as we work to create the best experience possible for everyone involved.
Each athlete may compete in up to four events. On meet day, athletes will sign in prior to each event as directed.
Coaches are strongly encouraged to help their athletes choose and register for events in advance. A high number of walk-up registrations slows down the meet, creates confusion for volunteers, and increases the chance of errors in the results.
Athletes who are not pre-registered should plan to arrive early to register on-site. A staffed registration table will open at 8:00 AM.
A coaches meeting will be held at 8:45 AM at the finish line to review meet details and
answer any final questions.
For any questions before the event, please contact Sports Director Christian Langston at
sports@ashlandy.org.
TEAM PACKETS: A packet will be provided for each team consisting of team roster and
events entered. A team representative will be responsible for picking up the packets.
Packets can be picked up at the track facility beginning at 8:00am on meet day
EVENT CHECK-IN: There will be a 1st, 2nd, and Final Call for each running and field
event. All athletes MUST check-in with the Clerk of the Course by the Final Call, or be
scratched from the event.
IMPLEMENTS: The meet management will provide starting blocks. Batons and throwing
implements should be brought by the coach or athlete.
No smoking, radios, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages are allowed within the
stadium or parking lot of the stadium. Tents are allowed in the visitor stands only.
Please NO tents allowed on the field.
