Jules sets high jump and 300-meter school record FINDLAY, Ohio – Vanessa Jules of the Marshall University women’s track and field team broke her own school record in the high jump and also set a school record in the 300-meter dash at the Oiler Open Saturday afternoon hosted by Findlay University. Coming off a freshman season where she was crowned a Junior All-American, Jules picked up right where she left off opening the 2010-11 season. The Silver Springs, Md., native won the high jump with a height of 5-9 ¼ which broke her own school record of 5-8 ½ set last outdoor season. She would then double-back in the 300-meter dash as she took second place overall, breaking Taneshia Becton’s school record of 41.78 set in 2001. Jules crossed the line in a time of 41.50.
