The 2015 OATCCC State Indoor Championship was exciting! We saw a US #3 All Time 60m hurdle from JFK - Warren's Chad Zallow (7.62), a new All-Time Ohio Girls Pole Vault of 13-05 from North Royalton's Kristen Denk, Mayfield's Anthony Isabella, who has a US #2 time of 6.72 in the 60m, ran an impressive 6.80, and a freshman girl from Dublin Coffman, Abby Stein, win the D1 60m (7.75) and 200m (24.80).
Performances continued to improve last week as we move toward the OATCCC State Indoor Championships this Saturday in Akron. Of note, St. Usrula Sr. Annie Heffernan ran a State leading 10:56.79 3,200m at Findlay. Bowling Green HS's Nick Lane improved his Weight Throw with a toss of 73-2.75.
Ohio athletes continued their push toward the OATCCC State Indoor Championships March 7th. JFK-Warren's Chad Zallow improved his US #1 time in the 60mH running 7.70. Geneva's Brittany Aveni ran a US #7 800m with a 2:11.74.
NEW OH #1's this past weekend: Frances Bull Lake Catholic 400 56.48, Lainey Studebaker Centerville 1600 5:01.23, Carly Davis Dublin Jerome 3200 11:00.36, Ayanna O'Neal Withrow 60mH 8.67. Geneva Girl's 4x400 3:58.22, Gavin Gaynor Hudson 1600 4:16.18, Kyle Mau Hudson 3200 9:22.23 and Mitchell Soviak North Union SP 61-4.
Matt Ludwig of Lake Catholic goes 16-4.75 in the Pole Vault and Lakota East 8th grader, Kaylyn Heath runs OH #2, 7.74 in the 60m and OH #4, 26.21 in the 200m. Kaylee Anthill doubled in the throwing events, heaving a US #2 57-8.75 Weight Throw and 41-1.75 Shot Put. Nick Lane threw for US #7 69-3 Weight Throw.
