Megan Vogel is a Sophomore at Xavier University. She graduated from West Liberty Salem in 2013. In 2012, she was the D3 OHSAA D3 Girls State 1600m champion. She doubled in the 3200m that year and running last, she stopped to help a struggling So. Ardin McMath of Arlington. She helped her to the finish line and made sure that McMath crossed the line in front of her. Last Saturday, she was recognized at the annual Musial Awards at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis. The Musial Awards is an event that honors the legacy of Stan Musial by celebrating the greatest moments of sportsmanship in North America. Vogel was originally honored at the event in 2012, but was invited back to be part of the 10th anniversary celebration of producing the event in St. Louis.
