The Sixteen Best Events To Watch At The Ohio State Meet

Boys Track

The Pickerington Central boys after a US #1 4x400 earlier this season.

4. D1 boys 4x200, 10:15 AM

This is the best relay of the meet. US #8 Pickerington Central and US #11 Mason will open the boys track action on Saturday morning. Look for a sub-1:29 time to win it.

5. D1 boys 60 hurdles, 11:35 AM (final)

The schedule is tough on the sprinters here, with just an hour between the prelims and finals in both 60 meter races. US #12 Ivan Suazo is the clear favorite--he's the only boy entered who has broken 8.00 this year--but this is his first indoor season.

6. D1 boys 3200, 1:15 PM

US #2 Andrew Jordan has shown that he can run 8:54 solo--he won that race by twenty seconds. He might be gunning for a fast time this weekend, as he's forgoing the 1600, where he'd be the top seed. That 8:54 from February is just 0.6 seconds off the US #1 time.

 7. D1 boys 4x400, 1:45 PM

Pickerington Central was US #1 for a hot minute. They're now ranked third in the country with a time of 3:18.47, two seconds off the nation-leading time. They could be looking to reclaim the throne Saturday.

8. D2/3 boys 60/200/400, 5:45/6:20/6:50 PM

Tyler Johnson is gunning for the triple. He's US #12 400 and #14 in the 60; Jacob Coates will challenge him in the short sprints.
