The University of Pennsylvania has added considerable depth to their cross country and track programs with the addition of Chagrin Falls stand-out, Annie Zimmer. Zimmer recently confirmed that she'll be headed to Philadelphia next year to represent the Penn Quakers!
MileSplit Ohio reached Chagrin Falls coach, Clay Burnett to inquire about his reaction to the news:
"Annie revolutionized our girls program with her fearless racing style. Her fun-loving personality, strong leadership and competitive edge will leave an indelible mark on our program. While her individual achievements are both incredible and inspiring, her achievements as a teammate on our XC team and track relays are equally as impressive. She is the complete package and she is ready for the next level."
MileSplit Ohio was also able to track down Annie Zimmer to discuss her exciting upcoming opportunity:
"I am very excited to continue my running career at a place that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I felt immediately welcomed by both the coaching staff and team at Penn and I cannot wait to be a Quaker!"
