Ohio Athletes Make Their Presence Known In Latest MileSplit 50 Rankings

Johnson, who won the 2017 DIII Cross Country Championship, broke into the MileSplit 50 rankings at #29.  The Iowa State Cyclones commit finished second in the 3200m race at the SPIRE Showcase with his US No.1 time of 9:08.12.  Johnson is ranked fourth in the Ohio converted 1600m rankings due to his 4:20.73 1 Mile result at the OATCCC Northwest District Invitational on January 19th. 

           Zach Kreft / Buckeye Valley 

Kreft, who finished the 2017 cross country season as the No. 1 ranked 5K athlete in the country, resides in 30th position.  The University of Notre Dame commit placed third in the ultra-competitive 3200m race at the Showcase with his US No. 2 time of 9:09.37 and he's second in the Ohio 1600m rankings due to his 4:17.76 result from the Ohio State Buckeye #3 meet on February 3rd.  

           Arjun Jha / Thomas Worthington 

Jha finds himself on the MileSplit 50 'bubble list' after an excellent showing at last weekend's SPIRE Showcase.  The Indiana Hoosier commit took the win in the 1600m race with his impressive time of 4:16.74.
