Beachwood Jr. Leah Roter burst onto the Ohio and National Cross scene with an undefeated season and a D2 State Championship. Roter won in 17:55.10. She had an Ohio #2 ranking of 17:09.70 and was the US #5 ranked Jr.
Colonel Crawford Jr. Chad Johnson won the D3 Boys State Championship with a time of 15:18.40. He was ranked OH #4. Johnson was 2nd indoors in the D2/3 3,200 with a 9:29.82 and 3rd outdoors in the D3 3,200 with a 9:20.51. (photo Dushan bouchek)
Thomas Worthington Jr. Arjun Jha was won of the talented Ohio Jr.s this season and led the State with a 14:56. He and Olentangy Orange Sr. Hunter Moore (below) were the first two Ohio boy's to run sub-15 in the same race in Ohio. Jha won the les Eisenhart Invitational with a 14:56 catching Moore at the finish. Moore crossed in 14:58. Jha's time had him ranked US #5 for juniors. (photo Chris Greene)

Lakota East Jr. Dustin Horter had early season win at the Asics Hot Summer Bash. He and Pickerington Central Jr. Matt Scrape battled to the finish with Horter winning in 15:18.52. Scrape ran 15:18.61. (photo M. Stonecipher)
Dustin Horter won the D1 Boy's State Championship when Olentangy Oranges Hunter Moore fell with around 300m to go. Horter proved he was one of the best Junior in the country as he would finish 4th at the Nike Cross Midwest Regionals (14:49.90), qualifying for the Nike Cross Nationals. He joined Jha and Moore as the three Ohio boys who went sub-15:00 this season. (photo Colin B.)

India Johnson was undefeated in the regular season and won the D1 State Championship, setting a new national Trails Course Record of 17:28.60. She was 2nd at the Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Region in 17:07.50 and 9th at the Nike Cross Nationals in 17:53.60. She was 2nd in the Foot Locker Midwest Regional in 17:36.10 and was 4th (above) in the Footlocker Nationals in 17:45.44, earning a spot on the U20 USA XC team that will compete January 7th in Edinburgh Scotland.
