Delmario Hairston of Lake Catholic High School won the LJ in the Emerging Elite Division.
Several Ohio athletes won their events at last weekend's New Balance Nationals Indoor meet which was held at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City. NBN is one of the premier meets on the national calendar, as it brings together a collection of the best track and field competitors from throughout the country.
There were many Ohio athletes in attendance at NBN and special congratulations are extended to the four residents of The Buckeye State who claimed victories at the Armory. The details pertaining to Ohio's winning athletes can be found below:

Emerging Elite Division - Long Jump
1st place - 23-08.00 (Ohio #1 & U.S. tie for #7)
Delmario Hairston is ranked 1st in Ohio and in a tie for 7th in the country in the Long Jump.

Emerging Elite Division - 1 Mile
1st place - 4:16.85 (Ohio #2 for the 1 Mile - Ohio #5 for the 1 Mile and 1600m converted results - U.S. #22 for the 1 Mile)
Nick Miller of Wadsworth High School won the Emerging Elite Division's 1 Mile race.
Nick Miller posted an excellent time of 4:16.85 to capture 1st place at the Armory in NYC.
1 Mile Race Walk
1st place - 6:12.00 (Ohio #1 & U.S. #1)
Cameron Haught of Yellow Springs High School won the 1 Mile Race Walk event in 6:12.00.
Cameron Haught is the #1 ranked 1 Mile Race Walk athlete in the country.
Weight Throw
1st place - 79-06.75 (Ohio #1 & U.S. #1)
Jacob Wickey of Medina HS won the Weight Throw event with his U.S. #1 result of 79-06.75.
Jacob Wickey is also ranked in the Top 10 in the state in the Shot Put event.
