Congratulations to Ohio athletes Chad Johnson, Zach Kreft and Adam Beucler for the outstanding results they posted in the 3200m race at last weekend's SPIRE Scholastic Showcase.
The trio all set new personal bests at the distance and they now occupy three of the top four spots in the national rankings.
Johnson, who will run at the college level for Iowa State University, led the Ohio charge with his 9:08.12 effort and following closely behind was Kreft, who recorded a time of 9:09.37. Hudson's Beucler crossed the line in 4th place due to his 9:10.48 clocking. Marcus Kemp took the race win with his impressive 9:02.58 showing. Kemp, who represents the Speed River Track Club out of Guelph, Ontario, will compete for the Providence College Friars in Rhode Island next year.
Colonel Crawford's Chad Johnson closed hard to secure second place.
