McDonald's Brody Rupe took a second place finish at the Sharpsville Blue Devil Invitational in as tight of a closing sequence as you will ever see. His 15:48.90 clocking was just behind that of race winner, Zach Buckner (Fairview, PA), who posted a time of 15:48.80.
Rupe's mark represents a new PR, a Ohio No. 9 (overall) for junior class athletes and his latest effort was his fifth straight top 3 finish to open the 2019 cross country season.
Hear Brody's post-race thoughts during his interview with Phil Grove and check out his battle to the line with Buckner, which earned them MileSplit USA's 'Kick of the Week' distinction.
