Following the poll closings and votes tabulating, Katie Clute and Tyler Stargel have secured MileSplit Ohio's Performer of the Week nods for competition taking place during the January 14th - 17th time period.
Olmsted Falls' Clute opened her indoor campaign in style with a 1st place effort in the 3200 meter contest at Youngstown State's Meet No. 2. Her personal best mark of 10:54.38 stands at top spot on the state's leaderboard and No. 6 nationally.
Stargel had himself quite a day at Logan during the Chieftain Grand Prix. Displaying a diverse skill-set, the Wayne junior excelled both on the track and during field competition. His 43-5.5 leap in the TJ represents an Ohio No. 1 mark and his 8.37 clocking in the 60 hurdles is the fourth best performance, state-wide, during the 2021 season.
