Ohio high school alumni are breaking the 4-minute barrier on weekly basis this season with the latest effort performed by 2021 St. Xavier grad Nathan Mountain

Mountain, nowadays repping the Virginia Cavaliers, eclipsed the mark for the second time in his college tenure at the Boston University Valentine Invitational, where he went a career best 3:58.16.

Also on the distance front at BU, Daniella Santos (2020 Hilliard Darby) clocked 16:07.33 over 5000m for the second best indoor time at the event in Ohio State Buckeyes program history.

Santos also owns the team's top mark, 16:04.71 run in 2023.

Winning the 4x400m relay at the Eagle Invitational was the University of Southern California with a program No. 2 all-time effort of 3:03.14. Justin Braun was on opening leg duties for the Trojans

Braun, who's name is etched at the top of Ohio's all-time record books for high school indoor performers in the 60, 200 and 400, also won the 60 and 200 at the Eagle Invite in times of 6.61 and 20.92, respectively.
