This Week's Nominees:
Emily Mechenbier, Perry (Ohio): Won both throws at OHSAA D3 Districts - Perry, capturing shot put with a mark of 45-3.75 and discus at 126-5. The sophomore sits atop the state rankings in both events among her class.
Taylor Bly, Clear Fork (Ohio): Clocked 55.84 to win the 400 meters at OHSAA D3 Districts - Oak Harbor, ranking her as the #3 junior in Ohio in the event.
Emma Bundy, McDonald (Ohio): Threw 139-1 to win discus at OHSAA D5 Districts - Grand Valley and added a third-place finish in shot put with a mark of 35-11.5.
Kaitlyn Carr, Smithville (Ohio): Swept the distance events at OHSAA D5 Districts - Cuyahoga, winning the 3200 in 10:33.95 and taking the 1600 in 5:06.00.
Chaya Murray, Salem (Ohio): Posted 24.82 to win the 200 meters at OHSAA D3 District - Austintown, a mark that ranks #2 in Ohio and tops among freshmen statewide. Also placed second in the 100 meters, clocking 12.48.
