Ohio's men and women dominated last weekends Midwest Meet of Champions.  The men won with 264 points, out scoring Indiana with 111 and Michigan with 100.  The women put up 214 points to Michigan's 158 and Indiana's 101.  Ohio men won 9 individual events and 3 relays.  The women won all 4 relays and 8 individual events.  The women's 4x200 team of 1) Jelvon Butler 2) Shalon Conley  3) Naja Greer  and 4) Tori Abdul set a new meet record of 1:38.06 besting the 1:38.49 record set by Michigan in 2008.                   

Watch for the Pickerington North team to make a strong run at the State Team championship.  The team is led by Jr. Nick Gray who has State best leading times in the 100 (10.69).  The 200 (21.00) and the 400 (47.41).  He won all three at Regionals and anchored a very strong 4x400 (3:16.76) with an under 48 leg.  Here's a look at each event.

The 2013 Wayne Invitational will be another true balance of sprints, hurdles, distance and field events.  The team championship is truly up for grabs, for both boys and girls.  The talent includes state champions, state placer, and state qualifers.  The potential for a state record is always a possibility.  The Wayne Invitational has been the place for state records set in the Girls Division 2 long jump, Girls divison 3 pole vault, boys Division 1 discus and boys Hammer throw.  Will another be set this year?  Come down May 2nd and May 3rd and find out.
