The 7th Annual Midwest Meet of Champions kicks off Saturday, at Hilliard Derby High School in Hilliard, Ohio. This year's edition features the top ranked boys team in Indiana, 5 of the 6 Ohio defending state champions and a large amount of Foot Locker worthy talent.

Finally, the cross country season is starting to heat up. Over the past few weeks, a handful of big meets took place around the nation, but nothing of any true substance. This weekend, there is no less than a half dozen meets that will showcase the top team and individual talent. Let the races begin!
The meet of the weekend in the Midwest did not disappoint. The Midwest Meet of Champions is the premier early September meet in the Midwest, and this year, Fishers (IN) and Magnificat (OH) won the two team titles. Fishers used a strong duo up front of Cale Allen (Sr.) and Drew Shields (Jr.) to take home the team title, while Magnificat packed it up, placing their top five in the top 25 spots.
