ATTICA - Kevin Moore, 17, a senior at Seneca East High School, has been chosen to compete in the Down Under West Central Conference Track and Field competition. The competition is set to take place in July in Australia, where he will be competing in the 110-meter hurdles. The only catch is, Kevin has to raise $4,700 to secure his trip. Columbus Academy dominated a Division III boys track regional at Fairfield Union, earning state qualifiers in 11 events. The Vikings amassed 133 points to just 47 for runner-up Seneca East. Jon Michael Hilsheimer won the 800 meters (1 minute, 56.30 seconds) and 1,600 (4:24.13) and ran on the winning 1,600 (3:24.97) and 3,200 (8:08.85) relays for the Vikings. (via Dispatch.com )
