Ryan Adams of CVCA ran one of the fastest 1600 in State history as he crossed the line in a 4:07.12 breaking the 1985 D2 Record set by Scott Fry of Sandusky Perkins and besting the Owens Stadium record of 4:07.96 set last year by Michael Vitucci of St. Xavier.
Christian Smith of McDonald won the D3 OHSAA State Championship in the Discuss. He won the MWMC. He closed out his HS career with a 5th in the NBNO.
Geneva's Brittany Aveni is edged out by Centerville's Lainey Studebaker in the 4x800m. Aveni proved she is one of the best 800m runners in Ohio. Studebaker, demonstrated what determination is - not settling for 2nd.
Southeast's Jenna Fessemeyer HS career should be catagorized as Historic! She won four individual OHSAA WD State Individual Championships in 2015. She won the 100 in 20.51, the 400 in 1:11.87, the 800 is 2:38.97 and the Shot Put with a throw of 19-05. All four wins were Wheelchair Divisional, State Meet and Owens Stadium Records. She won a total of eight individual State Championships.

Dunbar's Brian Bell put an exlcamation point on his 2015 season with an 800m win in the D2 OHSAA Championship.
In perhaps the most exciting finish, of any division, in the State Championship was the D2 boys 4x400m. Matt Ludwig of Lake Catholic closed fast as Eastmoor's Jalon Lewis and Dunbar's Javenta Brown dove for the finish line. Ludwing nipped both out for the win! See the next picture. The sequence is fantastic.

In the OHSAA D2 girls 1,600, Lexington's Dominique Clairmonte holds off Alter's Abby Nichols. Clairmonte was voted the 2015 Ohio MileSplit Female Athlete of the Year. She doubled, winning the OHSAA D2 3,200. NIchols will win the 2015 D2 XC State Championship.
Chad Zallow set a new State Meet record in the D3, 110mH with a time of 13.62 in the prelims and won in a time of 13.91.
North Royalton's Kristen Denk won the OHSAA D1 Girls Pole Vault, setting a new D1, State Meet and Owens Stadium record. Shown above celebrating her D1 State win.
Ohio's 400m King and Queen. Pickerington North's Nick Gray had a remarkable Sr. year. Indoors he won the D1 200 and 400 and anchored the 4x400 to a win. Outdoors he repeated as the 400m champion, as well as taking 2nds in both the 100 and 200 and anchoring the 4x400 to a win. New Albany's Karrington Winters won the D1 400 as a Freshman. She led the State in the 400 rankings in 2014 until injury at Regionals. She came back in 2015 running 3rd in the 100 and winning the 400.
Tri-Valley's Kalee Antil proved that she was won of the best throwers in the Nation, both indoors and out. In the Weight Throw, she won the OATCCC D1 competition and was 2nd at NBNI, earning a US #2 ranking. She won the shot at the OATCCC as well. Outdoors in the discuss, she earned a US #4 ranking. She was 3rd at State in the Shot Put and won the D1 Discus and went on to win a National Championship at the NBNO meet.
Chad Zallow celebrates his New Balance Nationals Outdoor win in the 110mH with a time of 13.19. His 13.19 (wind aided) was a new Ohio All Time Record and US #2 All Time.
Lake Catholic's Matt Ludwig was 2nd Indoors in the D2/3 200m and ran the lead off leg in the the 2nd place 4x4. Outdoors, he warmed up at the OHSAA D2 State meet placing 2nd in the Pole Vault, 1st in the 300mH and anchoring the 4x400 to a win in one of the most exciting races of the meet. He won the NBNO Decathalon proving his versatility as one of the best all around T&F athletes in the country.
The picture says it all. Geneva Jr. Brittany Aveni established herself as one of the best 800m girls in the State. Indoors she was 3rd in the D1 800m and anchored the girl's 4x800 to a win. Outdoors, she was nipped at the finish in the D1 4x800, the team finishing second by .59 seconds, and in the 800m she was second again, this time by .15 seconds.
