State Meet in Review

This year's state meet goes to prove that when the weather cooperates that Ohio athletes know how to take advantage of it and prove just how talented they are.  At this year's state meet we saw some unbelievable performances, including Woodridge's all division record in the boys 4x800 of 7:37.43, which is the second fastest time run in the nation this year, Taylor Burke of Medina setting the all division record with a leap of 6-1.25, a nation leading mark, and AJ Hicks of Solon bombing the discus 200-7 to set the Jesse Owens Stadium record.  These are just some of the amazing performances from Ohio track athletes at this year's state championship.

 

To start off, there were eight Jesse Owens Stadium records broken.  The boys broke stadium records in the Discus, Long Jump, Pole Vault and the 4x800m Relay.  The girls broke stadium records in the 100m Dash, the 800m Run, the High
